We formed Greene & White LLP to address a niche, underserved practice area — commercial and residential property insurance claims. But we don’t stop there; our team is prepared to handle almost any type of insurance claim, in addition to bad faith litigation, personal injury, product liability, mass tort, and class actions.

Our Focus

Many of our clients didn’t even know they could hire a lawyer to handle their insurance claim. It’s pretty common to think that the insurance claims process is a “take it or leave it” situation, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s why we founded Greene & White LLP — to help policyholders recover the maximum amount that they are entitled to under their policies. From filing the claim, though navigating the estimation, demolition and repair phases, all the way through final resolution of the claim, we’re with you every step of the way.

Initial Property Damage Assessment — Greene & White initiates the claims process by conducting a comprehensive assessment of the loss.    

Collaboration with Restoration Professionals — Greene & White works closely with restoration professionals to promptly mitigate property damage, involving specialists when necessary.    

Insurance Coverage Review — Greene & White analyzes the extent of available coverage. This step involves determining the “scope of loss” and analyzing the insurance policy and California insurance law to guide the claim process.    

Relocation Assistance — If the property is rendered unlivable or unusable, Greene & White assists in exploring available coverage for “additional living expenses.” This may include hotel accommodations, restaurant meals, and dry cleaning. Assistance is provided to help clients understand and claim these additional living expenses.    

Independent Damage Assessment — Greene & White conducts an independent and thorough damage assessment, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the losses incurred. This assessment involves measuring, scoping the damage extent, and estimating the loss to real and personal property, as well as business interruption, loss of rents, loss of use, or additional living expenses.    

Claim Documentation — Greene & White prepares a detailed inventory of losses, utilizing additional experts when necessary to support and substantiate the claim. This includes preparing inventories and itemizations of damaged real and personal property.    

Effective Communication — Greene & White maintains a robust, professional line of communication with the insurance company to ensure the timely filing of all required insurance forms and documentation.    

Presentation to Insurance Adjuster — Greene & White personally presents estimates, inventories, and other valuations to the insurance adjuster, engaging in negotiations to ensure a fair, equitable, and legally compliant settlement in accordance with the client’s best interests.    

Ongoing Updates — Throughout the entire claim process, Greene & White consistently keep clients informed of ongoing settlement efforts via email, providing transparency and clarity.    

Litigation — In cases where the insurance claim is denied or legal escalation is required, Greene & White offers further support through appraisal, mediation, and/or bad faith/coverage litigation.
